The Jim Neill Memorial Golf Tournament
Keeping Jim’s Spirit of Community Service Alive
Jim Neill was a partner in the international law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine, where he specialized in the hospitality industry. Jim sat on the boards of the Oregon Restaurant Association, Washington State Hotel and Lodging Association, the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys, and co-founded the Alliance of Alcohol Industry Attorneys and Consultants.
Jim passed away at the age of 64 on September 1, 2010 after a courageous yearlong battle with brain cancer. Both his family and many close friends have chosen to honor his memory by marrying two of the activities he enjoyed most; golf and community service. In 2010, the Jim Neill Memorial Foundation was formed with the goal of hosting an annual golf tournament to benefit a Portland area non-profit organization.
The 7th Annual Jim Neill Memorial Golf Tournament will be hosted on Friday, August 11th at Eastmoreland Golf Course in Portland, Oregon. Leveraging our past success, the 2016 tournament promises a great day of Golf, Fun, Food and Prizes! The tournament will have a shotgun start, featuring a “Scramble” format. Immediately following golf, join other participants and benefactors for an Awards Luncheon and Silent Auction.
The 7th Annual Jim Neill Memorial Golf Tournament will support the Portland Chamber Orchestra. Portland Chamber Orchestra, the oldest established chamber orchestra in the country, is celebrating its 70th year of creating spectacular music for the people of Greater Portland. PCO is also working to create concerts that are more reflective of and relevant to the many diverse backgrounds in our beautiful city. With an increased focus on creating exciting and culturally diverse programs for the entire family – for all families – PCO aims to reach every corner of our community with beautiful music in powerful arts fusion performances.
Money raised by the Jim Neill Memorial Foundation will go to the Portland Chamber Orchestra and celebrate its 70th year celebration.
